Its been a very busy few weeks here at Mackenzie HQ with weddings and TV appointments.  I could probably have made some posts earlier but between work I the glorious weather we have been getting this is my first opportunity. A huge congratulations go to Vicki and Grant Stewart whom I recently had the pleasure of piping for. It was a first for me piping at Dunblane Cathedral which is set at the heart of the village in a very picturesque setting. I had a great time piping last weekend for Rhona and David at South Dalziel Studios in Motherwell. I was accompanied by a fantastic photographer called Alan Snelling. Boturich Castle Mackenzie Bagpiping

I had a great day piping at, “Boturich Castle” yesterday. The weather wasn’t looking to hopeful in the morning but by lunchtime the clouds parted and the sun shone through. The guests had travelled from far and wide and it was good to catch up with Laura & Ruaridh the owners as I awaited their arrival. This is the first time I have played here when the ceremony has been outside and I have to say the scenery and setting was simply breathtaking. I had a good blow this week for the nice people at the Mugdock BUPA care home on Stockiemuir road in Bearsden. It was the grand opening of their new home. Another great days wedding piping was had at one of my favourite wedding venues, “Glenskirlie Castle”. The weather was as severe as I have encountered but that did not spoil what proved to be a great afternoon for the newlyweds. The roaring fire inside the venue appealed to all for heat and shots of the bride and groom. On the 23rd & 24th of February we will be attending the Scottish Wedding Show at the SECC in Glasgow. We attend the fair twice a year and it is always an exciting time to meet with new brides and grooms. We are happy to announce that we will be piping at the start of the day to welcome everyone.
